rustic peach galette


i love galettes. i think they’re so much easier than pies and have such a “ooh-la-la” factor to them. in all honesty, sometimes i feel like it’s a half-assed pie but i remind myself that it’s *rustic* and supposed to look like that. with that said, i’m sharing my super simple and easy recipe for this peach galette. and since we’re being honest here, you *could* say that it’s healthy because majority of it is fruit. hehe. i won’t tell.peachgallette011 peachgallette012 peachgallette04


rustic peach galette


  • 3 small peaches
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 pie crust, thawed find in frozen section


  1. preheat oven to 425 degrees.

  2. thinly slice your peaches and place into a large bowl. mix sugar, cinnamon and the juice of half a lemon into the bowl of peaches. make sure all the slices are mixed well. 

  3. dust your countertop with flour and roll out your pie crust to about 9" in diameter. place the peaches in the center, leaving about 2" of room from the border. fold up the pie crust to cover the peaches slightly. leave majority of the peaches exposed like the photograph.

  4. place into the oven for about 15 minutes or until light golden brown. serve warm alone or with vanilla ice cream. enjoy!
